Peppa Pig Toys & Paultons Park & Peppa Pig World Ticket Giveaway!

Last Thursday we attended a bloggers' coffee morning at Peppa Pig World to take a look at the new Peppa Pig Merchandise available from the Peppa Pig World Online Toyshop. I took Isla along with me, and she really enjoyed having some time with Mummy alone, particularly as I was taking her to the coolest theme park ever in her eyes!

She got to have a play with a lot of the Peppa Pig toys while I had a natter with some mummy bloggers. She also got to meet Suzy Sheep which was brilliant as sheep are her favourite animal and she’d been carrying around the large size Suzy Sheep from the minute she clapped eyes on it in the room.

Meeting Suzy Sheep!

Isla's favourite bits of merchandise were:

Jumpig Pigs game, peppa pig
Jumping Pigs Game - in fact we bought this one at the end of the day!

Large Floor Puzzle, great for little hands!

My favourite item was:

Perfect for Daddy - "I'm not grumpy" Pyjamas - potential Christmas gift I think!
Once we’d finished looking at everything we were free to go and explore the park. Isla and I have been to Peppa Pig world before, but in term time, so this time it was very busy. So after a run around in the soft play area and a good soaking in the splash area (make sure you take swimming bits and towel!), we headed off to see the rest of Paultons Park, which we didn’t do the last time. I was so impressed – there is so much to do for her age group and I even persuaded her to go on the log flume and she loved it (even though it was quite high!).

Other highlights of Paultons were the bouncy castle and trampoline area, the dinosaur walk, more splash areas and the seal ride. We also spent some time with the lovely Chelsea Mamma and her children, and I got some cuddles with her baby boy.

We popped back into Peppa Pig World and we had a go on the balloon ride and Grandpa Pig's boat ride, scoffed an Ice cream and hit the shop! All in all we had a fantastic day, and do check out the online store for Peppa Pig goodies, I know it's a bit early to talk about the 'C' word but for any little Peppa fan there are a few good stocking fillers to be had....

And to make you and your little ones feel like Christmas has come early I have a one day ticket for a family of 4 (children must be under 12 years) for entry to Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World to give away. To enter please complete the Rafflecopter form below.

Little Us Dolls Review and Giveaway

LAUNCHING IN THE UK, Little Us is a brand new range of enchanting dolls for pre-school girls, each one with her own unique personality. These adorable soft dolls will soon become the must have under arm toy with girls choosing the doll that is ‘most like me’.

Let your child begin the delightful Little Us story by identifying with one the girls – maybe it will be Chloe who likes everything pink, or Amelia who loves animals and reading, or perhaps it will be Ruby who’s just a little bit cheeky, or finally Millie, the tomboy of the group!

Measuring approximately 12” high and made from the softest plush material, the dolls are so huggable they are perfect for young children as their first doll. The dolls are ideal as a snug companion for play or sleep time and will encourage creative imaginative role play.

Isla was sent a Little Us doll to give her opinion on it. I chose Chloe for her as Isla is very much into pink like a lot of girls her age. It's a really well made doll and perfect size for carrying around (my children both carry a toy ALL the time) and as soon as she got Chloe she was fastened in her toy buggy and was pushed around the house. Chloe has become a regular part of Isla's toy entourage now and has been elevated to sleeping companion. I asked her why she liked Chloe and she said "because she wears pink!", with a tone of disdain, it's obvious Mum!

I'm giving you a chance to win a Little Us Doll. All you have to do is follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget below. Good Luck!

Read the Little Us stories and follow their adventures on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/LittleUsdollsDolls will be available to purchase from Harrods, Hamleys, Asda.com and Debenhams.com RRP £9.99.

See Ben and Holly Live - Family Ticket Giveaway!

SEE BEN AND HOLLY ON STAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME!

From the makers of Peppa Pig and the producers of the two hugely successful Peppa Pig theatre tours comes the first ever stage version of the BAFTA award-winning TV animation, Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom. And I have tickets to give away! We love Ben and Holly in our family - Cousin M up till recently insisted it was Ben and Polly, even when we insisted it wasn't. I personally also love the show, Nanny Plum being my favourite character - so dry and great opposition to the Wise Old Elf. We will be seeing the show at the end of October, so look out for our review.

In case you've been living in a cupboard for the past few years The Little Kingdom – where everyone is very, very small – is home to Princess Holly and her best friend Ben Elf. Holly is a young fairy princess who is still learning how to do magic properly and sometimes her spells don’t work out quite right. Ben is an Elf. Elves don’t do magic but they are very good at making things. Ben doesn’t have wings like Holly but he flies on the back of Gaston the Ladybird.

In this exciting new musical adventure, Ben and Holly have fun and games helping Gaston clean up his messy cave; they go on a trip to The Big World with tooth-fairy Nanny Plum; and still have time to plan a surprise for King Elf’s birthday party, complete with an unplanned jelly flood.

Packed full of games, songs and laughter, this is an enchanting and magical visit to the Little Kingdom, live on stage for the very first time. This beautiful story of elves, princesses and childhood innocence will delight all the family.

This brand new UK tour is on the road from 26 October until July 2013 and I have 1 family ticket up for grabs at the venue of your choice, subject to availability. A family ticket is for 4 people, minimum 1 adult. The tickets are non-transferable. No cash alternatives, accommodation or travel are provided in this competition. How to Make an Easter Bonnet

Recently we were lucky enough to visit Maggie & Rose family members club in Kensington for a baby event and Isla and I had a fab time, she got her face painted and made some cookies and generally had a lovely time. We don't have anything like that in our area and it was really fun, so when I was contacted by the people at Walker Books about a new Maggie and Rose Eco Friendly Activity Book for Isla and I to try out at home I accepted immediately.  We were sent the 'This Book is Totally Rubbish' Activity Book which is bursting with brilliant ideas for games and things to make and do - all based around the subject of art and recycling

Just before Easter I found the perfect opportunity to use the book when Isla and I got stuck into making an Easter Bonnet for her Nursery Tea Party. Since having a little girl I've always felt like I can't wait till we can do craft type activities together and this was our first go at a bit of messy creativity at home. I decided that we would make her Easter Bonnet using the instructions on how to do Paper Mache from the book - a great way to use up old newspapers. See below all the photos from our creative journey making an Easter Bonnet that eventually earned Isla an Easter Egg prize from the nursery for best Bonnet (not blowing my own trumpet at all......!!)

As you can see she loved the finished result and I'm really looking forward to making more things using this book - Eco Moulding Clay is our next project I think.

So following on from our fun using this book I have one copy of 'This Book is Totally Rubbish' to give away to one lucky person to have fun with! All you need to do to enter is:

Compulsory entry: comment below telling me your child's favourite craft activity or if too young something you look forward to doing with your child when they're old enough

Extra entry: Tweet the URL of this Giveaway post including twitter IDs @iheartmuthahood & @WalkerBooksUK and leave a separate comment below that you have done this.

UK Entrants only
Good luck and the competition closes midnight, Friday 20th May!

Born Free Giveaway!

Recently I was very lucky to win a competition run by the people at Born Free. I won £100 to spend on their fabulous products. I bought things I knew would come in handy for Baby Boy when he arrives but found that I had more in the coffers than I needed, so I decided to buy a Born Free Gift Set (retailing at £24.99) with my left over spends to give away to one of my lucky readers!

For those who don't know Born Free products are all Bispenol-A free (BPA). BPA is a chemical compound used to create polycarbonate baby bottles and recent research suggests that small amounts of BPA may leach into foods and beverages causing neural  and developmental damage in children.

The gift set I have for one lucky person includes the following:

1 x 260ml bottle with level 1 teat
3 x 150ml bottles with level 1 teats
2 x level 2 teats
1 x 220ml trainer cup

The bottles have an anti-colic vent and promise no leaks! This would make a lovely prize for someone expecting a baby this year, either yourself or a friend/ family member and the BPA free guarantee will set new parents minds at rest.

If you'd like to enter this giveaway, please do the following:

- For one entry, please leave a comment below with your contact details - twitter name/ email address
- For a 2nd entry please 'Like' my Facebook Page 'I Heart Motherhood'
- For a final entry tweet the giveaway on twitter “I’ve entered to win a @BabyBornFreeUK Gift Set on @iheartmuthahood’s blog” and tell me you have done so below
